Folgers K Cups

Brewing perfect coffee was never easier. Using a Keurig Brewing System as your coffee maker, all you have to do is pick the Folgers K Cups you like best, insert the single-serving K Cup in the brewer, close the lid, and push the button.

Easy…and fast; in about one minute your cup is ready to enjoy.
It is a pretty revolutionary system for brewing a consistently perfect cup. Each individual Folgers K Cup is a sealed container with just the right amount of coffee. Each serving stays fresh until the seal is broken during the brewing process. This way, you always have a fresh cup of coffee, which is something you don’t get when you buy coffee in cans. In cans, the first few pots of coffee you make may be fresh, but coffee gets stale quickly once the can is opened and the grounds exposed to air.


Clean up is a snap with K Cups, too. There is only the cup you brewed into and drank from to wash up afterwards.

Folgers K Cups are my personal favorite of the many coffee offerings out there for use with the Keurig brewers. The flavors Folgers makes are:

• Black Silk
• Caramel Drizzle® (a new and particularly delicious flavor)
• Lively Colombian
• Lively Colombian Decaf, and
• Vanilla Biscotti

All are available at your local grocer or from online sources. Look for K-Cup® Portion Packs available in 12, 18, and 24 counts. Obviously, buying the Portion Packs is a good idea since they are cheaper in quantity and it is for sure you will be using them all. Since the single serving units are sealed, they won’t go stale before you enjoy them.

I discovered K Cups while on vacation. Instead of the little drip-filter brewer you usually see in hotel rooms, the Inn where I stayed in Maine had one of these Keurig Brewing Systems. At first I couldn’t figure it out, so I broke down and read the little instruction procedure printed right on the unit. I was amazed, and not a little skeptical that this would produce anything like an acceptable cup of coffee. I don’t know about you, but when I wake up, I want a cup of coffee. This new gadget, as I was going to bed that first night, didn’t inspire me to think I’d be getting up to a good cup of coffee and I was already scoping out where the local Starbucks might be.

Come morning, I decided, what the heck, let’s give it a try. Wow, was I surprised with the result. Simple: Just put water in the machine, insert the Folgers K Cup, close the lid, and push the button. One minute later, I’m drinking a really excellent cup of coffee. I’m a convert!

I have since found these machines are everywhere. Offices use them, hotels, of course, and more and more folks are buying them for their homes. The variety is stupendous; there are over 200 different flavors available and more being concocted every week.
